Steve Buck
Steve Buck is the owner and founder of MR Atlanta-Lanier. Steve
served in a variety of senior management positions in credit,
portfolio and sales in his 27 years in Commercial Lending.
Working for companies such as Westinghouse Credit Corp, Chrysler
Financial., NationsCredit and Bank of America he learned first
hand the importance of building a solid team of top performers.
In his 13 years as a recruiter he
has worked with most of the national and local specialty finance
firms located in Atlanta and nationally, as well as regional and
community banks. Initially focused exclusively in asset-based,
factoring, and distribution finance, he now conducts searches in
general banking as well.
"In my 27 years in
commercial lending I have experienced many times the need to
find and hire the right kind of talent, and how time consuming
and frustrating this can be. Today, I look for client companies
that have an exciting story to tell and who can articulate a
career growth plan for candidates. On the candidate side I look
for people of accomplishment and integrity, people who are
constantly trying to improve themselves, and who approach life's
challenges with a positive attitude and the will to
succeed."
Steve has been a member of the
Commercial Finance Association, NACM, and other business related
organizations. He has been a board member and Treasurer of a
local non-profit, and holds an MBA from the University of
Pittsburgh.
Joe Souder
Joe Souder is the
Managing Director of MR Atlanta-Lanier. A graduate of The Ohio
State University with a degree in
Business; Joe worked for a leading national contract-recruiting
firm where he placed mid-level technical professionals in
Fortune 500 companies. In 1998, Joe joined MR Atlanta-Lanier and
helped establish the banking and financial services desk. Over
the years he has managed to build deep and lasting relationships
within the banking and financial services industry working with
several of the nation's largest financial institutions as well
as emerging local community banks. Joe has been recognized
several times on a national level for his achievements within
the Management Recruiters network as a leading recruiter. He has
been ranked in the top 25% of all recruiters for many years and
led the office to a top 250 position in 2008.
Joe attributes his success to the
strong client and candidate relationships that he works to form.
On the client side he strives to not only find the most
qualified and skilled candidates, but also excels in matching
the candidate to the client's office culture. When working with
candidates Joe wants to be more than a recruiter who finds them
their next job. Rather, Joe takes an active role in mentoring
the professional throughout their career. It is because of this
philosophy that Joe has established himself as one of the
leading recruiters in the banking and financial services
industry.
Shane Phillips
Shane Phillipos is a graduate of Georgia Southern University
with a degree in Sports Management and a minor in Business.
Shane worked as a recruiter for a national contract recruiting
firm that dealt strictly with Fortune 500 companies prior to
joining MR Atlanta - Lanier. As a member of the Management
Recruiters network, Shane strives on establishing new
professional relationships with both his clients and candidates.
Shane is one of the top producers in his office working
primarily with the local community banks in the Atlanta area. As
a result of being centrally located, Shane makes a point to go
out and meet with his bank clients face to face so he can better
determine what kind of working environment his clients have and
what type of candidates they are interested in hiring. By doing
this he can confidently match the candidates to the most
suitable company environment.
Also as a recruiter, Shane is more than just a person who finds
job openings for his candidates; he is a mentor that helps
candidates manage their careers. "I will make myself
available so I can talk to candidates and inform them of market
trends, hiring trends and any other piece of information that
will assist them in their job search".
Shane works in the commercial
banking arena only. The types of professionals that he recruits
are Commercial Lenders, Business Bankers, Asset-Based Lenders,
Corporate Bankers, Private Bankers, Commercial Credit Managers,
and Commercial Underwriters. He can also work on the retail side
mostly on the Branch Manager Retail Banking Executives. |
